1929 KUT Exhibition (Zenebohóc)
At the January 1929 exhibition of the KUT (Képzőművészek Új Társasága, the New Society of Fine Artists) in Budapest, György Rauscher showed Zenebohóc (Musical Clown) (/bibliography#szamado-2019, p. 13).
The exhibition
The KUT was the progressive Budapest artists’ society around Csók István, and Rauscher was a regular exhibitor with it through the late 1920s (see /biography/hungarian-years).
This particular showing is the one Lyka Károly recalled in his 1930 obituary as among the last occasions Rauscher appeared before the public, Zenebohóc being one of his final works to be exhibited in his lifetime (/bibliography#lyka-1930; /bibliography#devenyi-1977).
