2012 Dorog 110th-Anniversary Exhibition

On 21 December 2012, the painter’s birthplace of Dorog held a memorial exhibition for the 110th anniversary of his birth, at the Dorogi Galéria within the town’s annual Christmas gala.

The occasion

The exhibition was opened by Számadó Emese, director of the Komáromi Klapka György Múzeum and author of the 2019 monograph (see /klapka-muzeum).

The painter’s nephew, Uri Rauscher, travelled from Jerusalem and was welcomed at the event; he is the steward’s father and the family link through which much of the archive’s material has passed (see /about).

The same evening included the awarding of the Rauscher-díj (the Rauscher Prize), which Dorog established in 2002 on the centenary of the painter’s birth.

The event was covered by a regional television report, which the family holds; the recording has not yet been reviewed in full and may add detail.
