Komáromi Lapok

Komáromi Lapok was the newspaper of Komárom, György Rauscher’s home town. It is a recurring local witness to the family and to the painter’s career, and several of its notices anchor dates in his biography.

Rauscher in Komáromi Lapok

The paper reported his father’s appointment as honorary chief municipal medical officer of Komárom in its issue of 29 March 1919 (/bibliography#komaromi-lapok-1919-03-29).

It followed his exhibitions from the home-town vantage, including the success of his 1928 solo show at the Deutsches Künstlerhaus in Brünn, where it reported that almost every work was sold (/bibliography#komaromi-lapok-1928-03-13; see /exhibitions/1928-brno-deutsches-kunstlerhaus).
