Ősz és tavasz (Autumn and Spring)
Ősz és tavasz (Autumn and Spring), also recorded as Két generáció (Two Generations), is a 1927 oil painting by György Rauscher, held at the Komáromi Klapka György Múzeum. It is number 67 in the 1935 estate catalogue.
The painting sets two women side by side: at the left an old woman, grey-haired and hollow-eyed, in black; at the right a young woman with loose auburn hair and large eyes, bare to the waist. The juxtaposition of age and youth gives the work its two titles. It is signed at the upper right.
It is among the works held by the Klapka György Múzeum (see /klapka-muzeum) and belongs to the New Objectivity portraits of the Hungarian years (see /biography/hungarian-years).
