Elisabeth Bergner
Elisabeth Bergner is a 1929 portrait by György Rauscher of the stage and film actress Elisabeth Bergner, held at the Komáromi Klapka György Múzeum.
The portrait shows the actress with large dark eyes and red lips beneath short dark hair, in a black V-necked dress, her hands resting before her. It is loosely and thinly brushed in pale washes against a cream ground, in watercolour on paper.
It is not among the 118 works of the printed 1935 estate catalogue, though Számadó records it and it appears in the photographs of the 1935 installation.
