Untitled (woman’s portrait)
An untitled watercolour portrait of a woman by György Rauscher, the subject not identified.
A young woman with a dark bob and a blunt fringe, large eyes and red lips, wears a dark olive top; one arm is raised toward her hair, against a soft pink ground. It is worked in watercolour and signed at the lower right.
It is the companion to /works/female-portrait-blue-dress: the two undated female portraits that Számadó reproduces together as Rauscher’s, presumably magazine illustrations of his Berlin years (see /biography/berlin-years).
