Fedélzeten I (On Deck)

Fedélzeten I (On Deck), also recorded as Hajófedélzeten, is a 1929 work by György Rauscher, number 60 in the 1935 estate catalogue.

A woman in a wide straw hat and a white dress sits on a ship’s deck, a small black dog on her lap and a blue ribbon trailing in the breeze, the deck railing behind her.

It is one of the seaside and shipboard leisure subjects of his Berlin years (see /biography/berlin-years). A companion, Fedélzeten II (no. 90), is also recorded.
