Férfi portré (Male Portrait), 1927
Férfi portré (Male Portrait) is a 1927 oil by György Rauscher, reproduced in the monograph but not yet tied to a numbered entry in the 1935 estate catalogue.
The painting is a full-length portrait of a man standing in a dark suit with a bow tie and a close-fitting cap, his hands clasped before him, against a pale ground. The figure is firmly contoured in the closed New Objectivity manner. It is signed and dated at the lower left, 1927.
It is a distinct work from the cactus portrait, Öltönyös férfi kaktusszal, and from the Vaszkó Ödön portrait of the same year; the three appear together on one page of the monograph.
