Molnár Vera portréja (Portrait of Molnár Vera)
Molnár Vera portréja (Portrait of Molnár Vera) is a 1928 tempera by György Rauscher of the film actress Molnár Vera, held at the Országos Színháztörténeti Múzeum és Intézet (OSZMI) in Budapest. It is number 65 in the 1935 estate catalogue.
The portrait is bust-length: the actress with her ginger hair in a soft bob, blue eyes and red lips, a beaded necklace, and a peach-toned wrap, against a muted grey-green ground. The handling is soft and warm, the modelling gentle.
It is among the better-documented of Rauscher’s Berlin sittings (see /biography/berlin-years).
